Head Chef

We are a major fuel and lubricant distributor, operating throughout Northern Victoria, Southern New South Wales and South Australia. We provide a large network of both Wholesale Depots and Retail Sites, with our Head Office based in Mildura and an additional administration facility located in Albury.

We require an experienced Chef for our restaurant located within a new Highway Service Centre situated at Trentham Cliffs near Midura Victoria. This is a unique opportunity to develop your own menu, kitchen team, food presentation and operations for the 120 seat facility. As a Head Chef, you will be working within a brand new comprehensive commercial kitchen designed by a leading Melbourne commercial designer. Customers will range from highway travellers, heavy vehicle drivers, holiday makers from an adjoining resort (currently under development) and local community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create and maintain core menu design incorporating local seasonal produce for both dine in customers and quick serve for travellers
• Stock / produce management (incl. produce quality; efficient stock turns; waste control)
• Hands on meal preparation whilst building and maintaining an effective kitchen team; efficiency of operation and consistent high quality food offer
• Ability to work within a fast paced environment
• High level of compliance with food safety, health and hygiene standards within a neat and orderly kitchen environment
