About the role
Oceanview Jetty Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our team on the Central Coast, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for constructing and maintaining wharves and all other marine infrastructure. Your expertise in carpentry and experience in the building trades industry will be essential to the success of our projects.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to plan and execute construction projects
- Using hand and power tools.
- Ensuring all work meets relevant building codes, safety standards, and quality specifications
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification as a Carpenter or have experience in bridge and wharf construction.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, hardware, and construction techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
