Are you a people-person with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the automotive industry? McCarroll Motors is looking for a motivated and professional Service Advisor to join our high-performing team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences.
About the Role:As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key liaison between our valued customers and the workshop team. You'll manage service bookings from start to finish, ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer care throughout the process.
What You'll Be Doing:Customer Service & Communication-
Greet customers professionally as they arrive for service

Discuss and identify vehicle service or repair needs
-
Review and explain previous service history, adding any outstanding recommendations

Confirm method of payment and obtain fleet authorisations where required
-
Provide accurate estimates and clear explanations of work required or completed
-
Communicate delays or additional work requirements promptly during the day
-
Ensure follow-up bookings are arranged when necessary
-
Open and update Repair Orders with accurate information
-
Liaise with workshop staff to manage daily workflow and job progress
-
Ensure timely and correct invoicing of completed jobs
-
Handle customer payments and banking tasks
-
Maintain debtor control and assist with reconciliations
-
Prepare and record loan vehicles accurately and explain terms to customers

Order required parts for upcoming jobs as needed
-
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold uniform standards

Ensure the service reception area, lounge, and driveway are clean and welcoming
-
Strong customer service and communication skills
-
Previous experience in a service advisor or admin role (automotive preferred)

Confidence in handling payments, customer queries, and workshop coordination
-
High level of organisation and ability to multitask under pressure

Computer literacy and attention to detail in record keeping
-
Mechanical or technical knowledge (or willingness to learn)

A current driver's license
