Mining Supervisor

Golding are currently recruiting for a Production Mining Supervisor to join the Team on a 7:7 Day: Night rotation roster @ South Walker Creek Mine

Production Supervisor – South Walker Creek

Golding is a successful mining, urban and civil infrastructure project management services business with projects and operations across Queensland and South Australia. We are reliable and cost effective, working hard to achieve successful outcomes for our clients by working with them in ways that create and deliver value.

Golding is in search of a self-motivated Mining Supervisor to join our cohesive overburden and coal mining team at South Walker Creek Mine.

The primary function is to manage a Production Crew's mining methods, equipment usage and labour competence to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment is maintained to support the delivery of performance targets.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Conduct shift handovers, prestart, and toolbox meetings with efficiency.
  • Guide your team to execute the production plan safely and effectively
  • Provide valuable technical guidance to your team members, sharing your expertise and boosting their capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to implement maintenance plans for the shift.
  • Generate accurate and timely shift reports.
  • Perform inspections and job observations as part of your responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

  • RIIRIS301A – Apply Risk Management Processes
  • RIIOHS301A – Conduct Safety & Health Investigations
  • RIICOM301A – Communicate Information
  • RIIRIS402A – Implement & Maintain Risk Management Processes
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Generic Surface Induction.
  • Current open drivers licence
  • Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations and how they pertain to individual and supervisor obligations
  • Previous experience in the supervision of staff within an Open Cut mining environment
  • Operating skills on a wide range of Mining equipment
