Wenona is seeking a passionate and experienced Music teacher to temporarily join our Music Department. You will inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.

The Position
- Deliver engaging Stage 3 and 4 Classroom Music lessons aligned with NSW Department of Education curriculum requirements.
- Plan, prepare, and implement effective programs, lesson plans, and assessment strategies to support student learning.
- Use a range of instructional methods and technology to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and well-managed classroom environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, school events, and broader school life while upholding duty of care responsibilities.
This role is a temporary part-time position, with specific load to still be determined, for Term
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be highly qualified, with experience in teaching Music across Junior and Middle School (Years 5–8). You will have a strong working knowledge of the NESA curriculum and be confident in delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire students' creativity and musical growth, supported by effective assessment and feedback practices.
Knowledge of Kodály and Orff methodologies is preferred but not essential, and an ability to incorporate elements of these approaches into classroom practice will be highly regarded.
You will be flexible, solutions-focused, and an effective communicator, able to connect with students and collaborate closely with colleagues. Your professionalism and commitment to Wenona's values will ensure a smooth and positive contribution to the Music Department during this temporary appointment.
