AI Engineer – Sydney

We're partnering with a leading global trading and technology organisation that's looking for an
AI Engineer
to design and deploy next-generation AI agents. This is a hands-on engineering role, working at the intersection of software, data, and automation ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering measurable outcomes.

You'll be working within a modern
.NET environment
, collaborating with exceptional technologists and domain experts. The role involves designing and integrating intelligent agents that streamline workflows, orchestrate data, and support key business decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and deploy intelligent systems and AI agents within a .NET environment.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications and internal platforms.
  • Evaluate third-party AI models and APIs, selecting the best fit for each use case.
  • Collaborate across teams to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.
  • Maintain high coding standards with CI/CD, testing, and documentation practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems in production environments.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (C#, .NET, Java or similar).
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience deploying or integrating AI models, APIs, or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with modern AI ecosystems (Azure AI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
