The Opportunity 

We currently have opportunities to work at our SIL home in the Mount Barker area as well as other participants in the community. The participant currently living in the SIL home has complex mental health needs and requires a team of experienced and reliable staff. 

Please note, due to the participant's complex background, only Female support workers are required for this position. This is recognised as a genuine discrimination exemption and occupation qualification and is authorised under (Part 3; Division 2 - Discrimination against workers; Section 34 – Exemptions (2) of the SOUTH AUSTRALIA Equal Opportunity Act 1984).This will be a rewarding role with great hours. 

About You

To set the benchmark standard of services, we seek like-minded support workers that uphold and represent our core values: Integrity, Empathy, Creative, Inspire, Mindfulness & Bold.

In addition to our values, our support staff require Mandatory Experience and Compliance:

  • 1+ years' experience as a Support Worker.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Disability, Aged Care, and/or Nursing.
  • Experience in Mental Health and Behaviour of Concerns.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working With Children Check for SA
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Medication Training Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Drivers Licence and Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
