About Us

Affinity Wealth Advisers Pty Ltd is a self-licensed, privately owned boutique financial planning practice located in the Adelaide CBD. Established in 2014, our tight-knit team has over 40 years of combined experience and we continue to grow due to our success.

We work with a broad range of clients, from wealth accumulators to retirees, with a strong focus on high-net-worth families seeking comprehensive, tailored financial advice. Our services include:

  • Superannuation & Self-Managed Superannuation
  • Investments & Wealth Creation Strategies
  • Personal Risk Insurance
  • Estate Planning

We pride ourselves on transparency, collaboration, and forging long-term relationships. Our team culture is supportive and inclusive — we work hard, but we also know how to switch off and have fun.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paraplanner who has a passion for problem-solving, enjoys a challenge, and is curious about understanding client situations.

This is a busy and challenging role supporting advisers in the preparation of high-quality, often complex advice. It offers significant exposure to bespoke strategies, autonomy in your work, and the ability to learn advanced financial planning approaches in a supportive environment.

This role is part-time (0.6 FTE) with flexibility around days and the option to combine office and work-from-home arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive and complex Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and client documentation.
  • Conduct detailed research, financial modelling, and projections.
  • Liaise with advisers to ensure strategies align with client goals.
  • Assist in ensuring the advice process is conducted in an ethical and compliant manner.
  • Prepare insurance quotes, applications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Support implementation of advice as required.

About You

You will be a proactive and ambitious self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and values accuracy, initiative, and collaboration.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a paraplanning or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple financial planning strategies.
  • Proven ability to write complex SOAs.
  • High attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and MS Office Suite (Plutosoft experience advantageous, not essential).
  • Professional, well-mannered, and client-service oriented.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • A supportive, collaborative, and relaxed team culture.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of complex strategies and client scenarios.
  • Flexible working arrangements including part-time and WFH options.
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time position.
  • Direct access to highly regarded advisers and hands-on experience in a boutique environment.

How to Apply

If you're a motivated Paraplanner who thrives in a boutique, client-focused firm, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a personalised cover letter explaining why you'd be a great fit for our team.

To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or have full working rights.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
