SUPERVISOR – INSURANCE BUILDING WORKS

Role based on the Gold Coast/Brisbane and covering South East Queensland area.

We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor with a current QBCC Supervisor Licence.

We specialize in strata, domestic and commercial property damage through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact damage and malicious damage.

The Role:

We are looking for a versatile person who thrives on a challenge and will grow with our business and work well in our team.

You will be responsible for overseeing your assigned jobs from start to finish while communicating with our clients and trades.

You will also need good planning skills to prepare the job program and industry knowledge to organise the repairs to meet current code requirements and experience to work on Strata jobs where multiple clients may be part of the same job.

From time to time you will also provide estimates.

Key activities Include:

  • Co-ordinate the repairs from start to completion.
  • Provide regular client updates and liaise with Property Owners, Managers, Assessors and Insurers/Brokers.
  • Produce project plans.
  • Update information regarding each job and complete various tasks on industry specific software, Prime.
  • Job scheduling of trades in a timely manner and issuing Work Orders.
  • Invoicing and progress claim preparation.
  • Inspect repairs to ensure we are compliant with WHS Legislations.
  • Produce detailed variations.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Must have experience in the construction industry.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience supervising construction projects, with at least 2 years in insurance repairs
  • Hold a current QBCC Site Supervisor Licence.
  • Must hold a current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Must have a good understanding of QBCC / NCC and trade compliance.
  • Experience with insurance claim processes, scope of works documentation, and liaison with insurance assessors
  • Child Safety Blue Card or willing to obtain one.
  • Police check or willing to complete a check prior to commencement.
  • Computer literate and sound ability to utilise mobile technologies.
  • Proficient in construction management software (Prime), Microsoft Office Suite, and mobile project management apps
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Construction Induction white/blue card.
  • Ability to work independently and be multi tasked.
