Kelly's Place Children's Centre is a Community Based Exceeding centre located in Crows Nest. Our well established, highly regarded centre is offering the rare opportunity for an innovative, experienced passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our close knit team. We are located next to Crows Nest Metro Station.

You will be responsible for a class of twenty children preschool aged children , supported by two Diploma qualified educators. We operate a dynamic curriculum based on project work. We have a strong commitment to an ever evolving pedagogy with professional learning and innovative practice.

We offer above award wages, conditions and high adult to child ratios.

The position is permanent full time working a variety of shifts - 5 days 8 hour shifts including lunch break paid lunch break.

OR a permanent part time position working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 8 to 9 hour shifts including paid lunch break.

To be considered for the role you will need:

  • a Bachelor of Teaching/Education in Early Childhood or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification
  • current NESA accreditation
  • a current Working With Children Check
  • approved Child Protection training
  • approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • approved Food Handlers Certificate

The role also requires:

  • strong understanding of The National Quality Framework (A & R) and the Early Years Learning Framework v2.0
  • understanding of and respect for child protection principles and the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to inclusive practices
  • excellent programming and documentation skills, a passion for play based learning and innovative curriculum ideas
  • excellent documentation, leadership and communication skills
  • motivation; displaying initiative and having demonstrated ability to lead and work well within a team environment
  • a commitment to professional learning
  • competence in all areas of early childhood compliance, legislation and WHS
