About the role

We are seeking an innovative Senior Project Controls Manager / Program Optimisation Lead with a problem-solving attitude to join our forward-thinking managed services team in Sydney. In this role, you will leverage advanced technologies, tools, and processes to drive optimisation across multiple high-stake projects. Your expertise will be critical in guiding project leaders toward data-driven decisions that enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of cutting-edge services in scheduling intelligence, planning optimisation and commercial risk management.
  • Lead initiatives to utilise problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and development effective solutions that enhance project delivery.
  • Manage change management processes, tracking changes and cost implications.
  • Collaborate on commercial risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Provide strategic insights and feedback to continually improve service delivery and project performance.
  • Collaborate with and support the leadership team by ensuring that the project controls function integrates seamlessly with broader project management efforts.

About you

  • At least 15 years of contractor and consultancy experience.
  • Experience in project controls and commercial risk management for engineering, construction, and capital works projects.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, interpreting complex data and providing insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, presenting financial information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
