The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to present the Drive program for ABC Alice Springs and to showcase your presenting skills.   You will be working as part of the local program team, and more broadly the highly successful ABC Alice Springs team in a collaborative way,

The Job

  • Create multi-platform content for local and national audiences.
  • Produce and present compelling stories.
  • Contribute to planning and commissioning new ideas.
  • Support studio production and manage callers/guests.
  • Assist with emergency coverage and stakeholder communication.
  • Share local content across ABC teams and cross-promote content.
  • Generate stories reflecting Australia's diversity.

About You

You are a team player and someone who listens and takes a creative approach in making great radio.

You'll also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Strong program making and presentation skills across audio and cross-platform content.
  • Advanced editorial skills with sound judgement and information analysis.
  • Deep understanding of issues effecting audiences.
  • Passion for storytelling that reflects Australia's diversity.
  • Ability to source and maintain broad community contacts.
  • Commitment to authentic content representing cultural, linguistic, and Indigenous diversity
