The Opportunity

This isn't just a management job — it's a chance to co-lead the transformation of a much-loved local café into something truly special.

As Café Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operations while working closely with the owner to improve systems, grow the team, and deliver an unforgettable guest experience. You'll bring energy, efficiency, and most importantly — a love for hospitality.

You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Leading, coaching & inspiring a passionate front-of-house and kitchen team.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered, every single time.
  • Managing staff rosters, hiring, training, and performance development.
  • Driving daily operations smoothly — from open to close.
  • Implementing systems that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Working alongside ownership on exciting new projects, promotions & events.
  • Managing inventory, ordering, and cost control.
  • Supporting a positive, productive, and values-driven workplace culture.

About You:

  • Proven experience in hospitality management (café or casual dining).
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Obsessed with customer service — and love making people smile.
  • Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • Passionate about food, coffee, and creating welcoming spaces.
  • Great communicator with a "hands-on" approach.
  • Familiar with POS systems, rostering, stocktake & cost management.
  • Available early mornings and weekends.
