The role-
LGT is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education and Care Practitioners or teacher for our Gordon Square Education and Care, George Town. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while working in a supportive, nurturing environment.
- Part time, minimum 36 hours per week
- Long Day Care
- Immediate start
In this role, you will:
- Provide high quality care for children with a focus on ensuring health, safety and wellbeing.
- Create and implement an educational, developmentally appropriate program based on the approved learning framework
- Support children to understand nutrition and ensure all children have access to adequate food and water throughout the day
- Lead and contribute to conversations and reflections about the needs and development of children and use professional knowledge to improve practices
- Communicate effectively and appropriately, with children of various ages, families and other Educators.
- Ensure a safe, clean and stimulating environment where all educators and children are protected from hazards and harm
What you'll bring:
- Understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong, respectful, and open communication skills, both written and verbal.
- ACECQA-approved Certificate III, Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) or qualified Early Childhood teacher.
- A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services category) and the ability to obtain a current National Police Check
