Employment Type: Employment Type: Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) Contracts will be offered on a temporary basis of up to three years. Staff Specialists Range of temporary and permanent positions available.

Section: Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Management

Salary Packaging: $188,151 to $254,198 (pro rata for part time) + Private Practice Scheme Allowance + Attraction and Retention Incentive + On-call allowance (17.4% of base salary + Private Practice Allowance) + Medical Education Expense Allowance + Superannuation (12%) Note: Starting base salary will be negotiated within this classification for the successful candidate, depending on experience and expertise OR as per the 2024 VMO Core Conditions

About the Role:

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focused on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centered care. We provide acute, sub-acute, primary and community‐based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions.

We aim to deliver anaesthetic services to patients and clients of North Canberra Hospital (NCH), guided by current evidence based medical practice and patient care outcomes.

We are a friendly team committed to the practice of anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and acute pain services care. We offer lists in ophthalmology, O&G, general surgery, elective orthopaedics, urology, ENT, endoscopy and some dental and plastic surgery. We aim to provide:
