The Role

As a Junior Print Finishing Operator, you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training to operate our state-of-the-art Digicon Lite label finishing machine. You will play a crucial role in the final stage of production, ensuring every label meets our exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor the Digicon Lite for various finishing processes, including die-cutting, laminating, slitting, and varnishing.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure accuracy, colour consistency, and finishing quality.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret job sheets to ensure production requirements are met accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with WHS procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the print and production team to meet deadlines.

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within the print industry. While direct experience is not required, a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • A recent qualification, such as a Certificate III in Print Binding, Finishing and Packaging (ICP31320) or a similar printing-related trade certificate (not a pre-requisite).
  • A genuine interest in machinery and the printing process.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
