About Us
Faraday Pty Ltd is a leading provider of electromagnetic shielding solutions across Australia and New Zealand. We design, fabricate, install, and test shielding systems for industrial, medical, scientific, and Defence applications. Our work protects sensitive equipment like MRI scanners, electron microscopes, and linear accelerators from disruptive electromagnetic interference.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a qualified Electronics or Electrical Engineer to join our expert team. You'll work closely with senior engineers to design and implement custom shielding solutions, perform EMI field calculations, and conduct testing and commissioning of Magnetic Active Cancellation Systems.
This role offers diverse, hands-on work and regular travel across Australia, with occasional international assignments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and analyse shielding systems based on client requirements
- Perform EMI field predictions and simulations
- Conduct on-site and in-house testing of shielding effectiveness
- Commission Magnetic Field Compensation systems
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user manuals
- Support troubleshooting and fault resolution
- Present technical solutions to consultants and stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, RF, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with MathCAD or Mathematica
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with EMC test equipment (e.g., signal generators, spectrum analysers)
- Strong communication skills and customer focus
- Attention to detail and ability to follow testing protocols
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory
Preferred:
- Prior design experience
- Strong presentation and documentation skills
