EV Electrician

We provide Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), and Operate and Maintain (O&M) services. The EV Electrician will be responsible for the installation, construction and maintenance delivery of specific projects in alignment with standards, OEM technical guidance, WHSE regulations, budgets, and project timelines. Electrician will ensure that maintenance and service objectives are clearly understood and executed to a high standard within defined timeframes and budgets, while prioritising health, safety, and wellbeing.

This role requires travel to project and asset network sites in different states.

• Install and maintain EV charging infrastructure across various residential, commercial, public, and industrial projects and sites nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure clear project execution and efficient charging solutions during the design stages.
• Modify and update wiring diagrams and project documentation, ensuring accuracy.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Perform planned and unplanned preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns in EV charging infrastructure systems.
• Utilise expertise in hardware fault finding and data management.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to WH&S, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
• Participate actively in Detlev's continuous improvement culture.

• Australian Electrical Trade Certificate
• LVR / CPR Certification
• Construction White Card
• Minimum of 2 years as a Qualified Electrician
• Full Australian Working Rights
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical / drug and alcohol screening
• Proven experience working on construction projects
• Commissioning experience highly regarded
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues
• Experience managing staff members and contractors
• Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks involving on- and off-site work, often during irregular hours
• Experience in electrical estimating
• At least 2 years of experience in mining, construction, or renewable energy sectors
