Decarby Solar is a growing solar and electrification business based in the ACT. We provide high-quality installation services for solar PV systems, battery storage, EV chargers, heat pumps and broader household and commercial electrification upgrades. Our focus is on safe, compliant and reliable installations that help customers transition to clean energy. We pride ourselves on professionalism, ongoing learning and delivering excellent service.

We are now looking for a motivated 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentice to join our team as we continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of solar PV systems, battery storage and related electrical work
  • Support senior electricians with solar and battery installations, switchboard upgrades and general electrical tasks
  • Carry out work safely and follow WHS procedures
  • Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard
  • Represent Decarby professionally on customer sites
Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice
  • Be a reliable team worker with a positive attitude
  • Be enthusiastic about learning solar, battery and heat pump installation techniques
  • Have a valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for commuting
  • Be willing and able to work on roofs when required

  • Hold the following safety credentials:

  • White Card

  • Working with Asbestos certificate
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate
  • Silica Dust Awareness certificate
Desired Skills and Experience (not Necessary)

It is an advantage if applicants:

  • Hold a current Working at Heights certificate
  • Have experience installing solar PV or battery systems
  • Have experience in general electrical work on residential and commercial sites
