ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are a well-established Canberra Construction company with an interesting and varied pipeline of projects and we are seeking a person with experience to join us as a Working Foreman.

Our reputation is founded on good long-term relationships with all stakeholders and our team work together to achieve quality projects.  The collaborative approach of the leadership team ensures staff are involved and informed at all times.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Working Foreman you would initially join an established team to learn the company policies and procedures before taking on the supervisory role on your own projects.

Your duties would include:

  • Ownership of project from initial site set up to completion
  • Inductions and toolbox talks
  • Sub-contractor and trade management
  • WHS and quality management
  • Regular communication with client, trades, contractors and Project Manager
  • Programming works and problem solving
  • Maintaining accurate records

Skills required:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Working Foreman
  • Trade qualification (preferably Carpentry)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of other trades
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret plans
  • A passion for construction
