About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Agile UI Developer
to join our dynamic Business Technology team as we embark on a major upgrade to our enterprise Works Management and Asset Management System. This program is the largest of its kind in our organisation and will positively impact over
17,000 users
across the business.

This role will be central in developing and supporting our in-house
Works Management System (WMS)
—a mission-critical application responsible for managing reactive, planned, and programmed work across our customer base. The platform is being modernised using a wide range of technologies, including
SQL Server, C# .Net, WPF (DevExpress), Windows Services, Azure App Services,
and more.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver full-stack solutions with a focus on
    UI development (WPF Desktop)
    and backend integration.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery alongside business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Investigate, resolve, and deliver prioritised enhancements and defect fixes.
  • Estimate and refine delivery scope using story points and sprint planning techniques.
  • Participate in system design, build, QA, and deployment, ensuring changes meet IT change control and security standards.
  • Own, manage, and support application components, ensuring data accuracy and performance.
  • Provide documentation, training, and guidance to team members and end users.
  • Ensure licensing, compliance, and ITSM policies are followed throughout the SDLC.

Your Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business / IT or equivalent.
  • Hands-on IT experience, including:
  • Experience in
    C#.Net
    development.
  • Experience in
    SQL Server / T-SQL
    .
  • 2+ years working in
    Agile
    delivery environments.
  • Strong WPF development using
    DevExpress
    and familiarity with Windows/Desktop application architecture.
  • End-to-end understanding of the SDLC, including deployment and support.
  • If some of your experience around these products is a bit old, don't let that stop you from applying

Desirable:

  • Experience migrating off legacy platforms such as
    MS Access

  • ITIL Certification.
  • Knowledge of Azure services and cloud application development.
