Senior ICT Network Engineer

About this Role:

As a Senior ICT Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Designing and evolving enterprise-grade network infrastructure to support scalable and adaptive service delivery.
• Leading transformative ICT initiatives such as network modernisation, cloud adoption, and integration of emerging technologies.
• Embedding security, performance, and resilience into the core of network operation to ensure uninterrupted digital services.
• Developing forward-looking disaster recovery and continuity frameworks that safeguard critical council functions.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and technology partners to co-create secure, future-ready infrastructure solutions for the Mackay Region.

Qualifications and Certifications:

With expertise in ICT infrastructure, project delivery, network security compliance, and supporting a diverse networking environment, you would have:

• A Degree or Diploma in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications such as HPE Aruba Networking, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, or similar are highly desirable.
