About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to design, build and support advanced planning and reporting solutions for our clients using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). This client-facing role focuses on delivering high-quality budgeting, planning and forecasting models that enable better business decisions.
Candidates can come from either a technical TM1 development background or an accounting/finance background with strong planning and analysis experience. We value both streams equally and will provide training and support to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) models for budgeting, planning and forecasting.
- Engage directly with clients to gather requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
- Optimise and maintain TM1 applications for performance and scalability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for client environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Contribute to best practices and mentor junior team members as you grow into a leadership role.
How you are Extraordinary?
You could come from either a technical TM1 background or from an accounting background.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in either:
- Accounting or finance, with strong understanding of budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
OR - TM1 development and implementation

- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Australian citizen with current or eligible Australian Government security clearance (we will sponsor clearance).
Preferred Skills
- Consulting experience (optional but highly regarded).
- For the technical background:
- Familiarity with IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, including PAW, PAfE, TurboIntegrator and Rules.
- Experience with SQL, Python or MDX.
- IBM Planning Analytics certification.
- For the accounting background:
- Accounting skills such as financial modelling, variance analysis and management reporting.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting best practices.
- Advanced skills with spreadsheets, data management and reporting or visualisation tools.
