Are you an experienced
Recruiter
with a passion for building amazing teams and a curiosity for growing your skills in People Ops? We want you on our team in Sydney.

It's our mission to improve the quality of every thing. Helping our customers create incredible products and services is the end goal, and it starts with our people. We're looking for a generalist who can help us discover top-tier talent across our Product, Engineering, Ops and Go-To-Market teams in Sydney and SF. You'll be responsible for proactively sourcing and building a pipeline of incredible candidates, owning the entire end-to-end recruitment process, and providing a fantastic candidate experience every step of the way. The right person will also be keen to flex their skills in People Ops, taking on a range of responsibilities including onboarding, HRIS management, supporting with performance review cycles and engagement surveys.

What you'll do

  • Be an ambassador for Dovetail.
    You'll share the Dovetail story, culture and vision with prospective candidates and support with building our employer brand.
  • Deliver an awesome candidate experience.
    We move fast here at Dovetail and you'll be delivering the end-to-end experience for our candidates, from application, video screening, in-person interviews and offers. We have a high bar for candidate experience and we're constantly looking for ways to improve.
  • Talent partner.
    You'll proactively source for active and passive candidates and will constantly be looking for creative ways to discover new talent. You'll work closely with hiring managers across Dovetail to craft their interview plans, review applications, shepherd candidates through our process, and ensure we're keeping our talent bar high.
  • People ops support.
    Grow your skills in People Ops by taking on generalist work including onboarding, HRIS management, supporting with performance review cycles and engagement surveys.

Your background

  • Experience recruiting technical roles.
    You'll have some experience in recruiting software engineering roles and have a passion for building the best teams.
  • High-quality bar and great attention to detail.
    You're able to get into the details and deliver quality results on time. You're a wearer of many hats and can juggle multiple priorities at the same time.
  • You act like an owner.
    You'll have a strong sense of accountability and comfort with self-starting/working autonomously. You're highly trustworthy, and showcase great instincts and judgement.
  • You're creative.
    You know that job adverts and LinkedIn are not the only channels of headhunting candidates. You love research and understand that the art of sourcing is always evolving.
  • Transparent communicator.
    Honest, thoughtful, and transparent communication is critical to our success as a business. You'll need to build strong relationships with people across the team and be a trusted business partner as well as providing great communication to candidates and give detailed feedback.
  • A great attitude.
