Chefs - Italian Cuisine

Located on the Northern side of Brisbane, the Bracken Ridge Tavern is a family-owned business and we are building a team for our new vibrant 400 seat Italian dining experience.

Full-time and casual positions available:

• Pizza Chefs
• Pasta and Larder Chefs
• Chefs

Pizza Chefs must have ideally 2 years experience, alternatively a willingness to learn, sound understanding of dough processes, ingredients preparation, toppings and are comfortable operating wood fired Marana oven. Understanding and prioritising tasks around making the perfect pizza with a focus on quality and consistency is an essential component of this role.

Pasta and Larder Chefs will have 2 years experience, relevant qualifications are highly regarded. Main responsibilities include running the section with confidence and efficiency, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to high standards. Knowledge of pasta cooking techniques, flavours and seasonings that are the essence of Italian cuisine is paramount.

Passionate chefs with Italian experience or at least one year in hospitality looking to expand and grow are welcome to apply.

*All roles will receive both specialised and cross section training:

• You must be a team player, have a positive attitude, with a willingness to follow directions and be committed to supporting your team and the Head Chef in all operations including end of service and overall kitchen cleanliness including care and maintenance of equipment
• Successful applicants will have a genuine love for authentic Italian food and a hunger to create memorable experiences for our guests
• Reliability and speed - self-driven, reliable, well presented, punctual chefs who understands the pace required for a high-volume kitchen
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene plans and standards, HACCP and work health and safety
• Contributing to menu design and an innovative flair
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
