Strategy Lead – Energy Sector

A leader in the energy sector is seeking a Strategy Lead to support the Head of Strategy develop the strategic agenda. In this role, you will be responsible for deep dives and high-quality analysis, creating recommendations to inform the direction of the business. You will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Support development and execution of strategic agendas this role will play an important role in shaping the overall strategy and ensuring it is aligned with broader organizational objectives.
  • Conduct rigorous research and analysis to provide quantitative and qualitative assessment of risks and opportunities.
  • Drive the implementation of targeted initiatives to ensure the efficient and successful execution of strategic plans.
  • Identify and manage rapid responses to emerging issues that may impact the business's ability to achieve its strategic goals and targets.
  • Provide key input for leadership reports and decision-making forums, including preparing papers for the Board and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels to support strategic planning, simplify complex topics, and enhance prioritization and focus.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal teams, including other Corporate Strategy teams , Finance, and Capital Investment, to ensure alignment and cooperation across functions.
  • Contribute to regulatory and policy advocacy, customer strategy, and business improvement initiatives that support the overall objectives of the business.
  • Offer strategic insights and reporting on both internal and external developments that influence the organization's business strategy, providing clarity and direction for leadership and stakeholders.

Key Requirements
:

  • 3+ years of experience in a strategy consulting firm, in house strategy team or Investment banking. Experience in energy sector is advantageous.
  • Strong quant, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial business analysis and extracting insights in areas of ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical, data driven, critical thinker. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional academic track record.
