About the role
This exciting opportunity will see you joining a passionate team of personal injury and compensation lawyers at Maurice Blackburn Townsville. We are dedicated to providing tailored advice and legal services for the people of North Queensland everywhere from Ayr to Mount Isa to Ingham and everywhere between. Our team works hard to deliver a personalised service, empathetic support and the best possible legal outcomes for all of our clients in these difficult times. Now that's a role with purpose.
We are looking for a Lawyer with a strong client service focus, personable approach, and commitment to social justice. Previous personal injuries experience is preferential but not essential.
We are looking for someone who:
- Works effectively with others and fosters positive relationships;
- Has a strong client and relationship building skills, you cultivate and manage relationships with referrers and other external stakeholders;
- Contributes to team success and collaborates seamlessly;
- Is resourceful, you find creative solutions and adapt to challenges;
- Is determined and motivated to make a difference, driving successful outcomes;
- Is client focussed with a genuine passion for helping people;
- Ideally has prior experience working within Workers' Compensation claims, Motor Vehicle Accident claims, Public Liability claims, or Litigation environment;
- Knowledge of the relevant procedural rules relevant to Personal Injuries;
- Is 3+ years PAE (preferred).
You will bring your experience in:
- Review and analysis of records;
- Analysis of prospects of cases;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Drafting court documents;
- Deeply understanding client's needs.
