Ignite Engineering is inviting talented engineers to apply to join our growing team. The role, based in our riverside Brisbane office, will provide the successful applicant with exposure to some of the most complex, unique and high-profile projects in Australia. Please note that the office is only accessible via stairs.

The role:

· Manage and deliver all aspects of projects (concept through to detailed design) within a professional consultancy environment.

· Design and analysis of unique & complex mechanical and structural projects in accordance with Australian Standards.

· Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) utilising 'Strand7', 'SolidWorks' and Ansys software.

· Prepare technical documents such as design reports and certificates.

· Interface with our clients including performing site visits and inspections.

· Utilise SolidWorks to produce 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design requirements.

· Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance productivity and maximize the business's design capabilities.

The successful applicant:

· Australian citizen/permanent resident, residing in south-east Queensland.

· Minimum 3+ years of consultancy experience across any engineering industry is required.

· Mechanical, structural, or civil engineering degree.

· Steel and concrete experience.

· Genuine eye for detail.

· Sound working knowledge of Australian Standards such as AS1170 (suite), AS1657, AS4100, AS4991, AS3600 (structural/civil).

· Practical background or outlook.

· Excellent organisational & planning skills with an ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.

· High level of professional versatility.

· Client & solution focused.

· 3D modelling and 2D drafting experience (SolidWorks preferred).
