Our client is a nationwide provider of specialist design, construction and fit out solutions to a highly profitable market in Australia. They have a track record of successfully completing projects across Australia and continue to reinforce their position as a design and market leader in their field. There is a well-established and collaborative internal design team of nine currently, creating fantastic workplaces for clients.

Due to a sustained increase in the number of projects,
we have been exclusively engaged to recruit a talented and creative Project Architect to join the team at this exciting time and take responsibility for the entire design process for clients
. This is a full time, permanent role and there is substantial opportunity for growth within the business as it expands into new markets.

Specific duties will involve.

• Provide architectural designs for construction and fit-out projects across Australia. Manage projects across all stages from concept design to full construction documentation.
• Internal and external concept development, including architectural plans, floor plans and associated services with a focus on quality design.
• Producing documentation throughout the design delivery process.
• Work with the Design Director to ensure accuracy and quality of project designs and documentation packs for the internal construction team.
• Using revit.
• Maintain and develop client relationships. Coordinate and attend client meetings. Present documentation packages for client review.
• Liaise with external consultants, engineers and project managers. Prepare and submit detailed designs to local authorities.

The business is well-established and has excellent prospects for the future. They operate in a relatively recession-proof market and have grown from 1 to 9 architects over the last 10 years. They are now embarking on a new period of expansion and diversification, opening up new market opportunities. This is a key role in the business and as such
would most likely appeal to an architect with 6 years or more of quality architectural experience gained in Australia. The remuneration on offer will align with your experience but is expected to be in the region of $90K to $120K plus super.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate.

• Degree or higher tertiary education in architecture.
• 6+ years of quality architectural experience gained in Australia. Architectural experience for retail, commercial, industrial, office, education or healthcare projects will be especially of interest.
• Proven ability to work with the builder on design and construct projects. Demonstrated capability to ensure project designs are accurate and ready to be built.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced work environment.
• Advanced skills and experience with Revit.
• Good understanding of relevant building codes and regulations in Australia.
• Eligibility to work within Australia.

The role will be based at the Melbourne office close to Southern Cross station with weekly/fortnightly work from the Geelong office. There will be occasional travel to client locations across Victoria/Australia.
