Logistics Officer

- Location: Darwin
- Status: Full-time
Do you excel at planning, coordination, and execution? Ready to take your logistics skills out of the office and into the field? The NLC is seeking a highly organised and motivated Logistics Officer to support our Resources and Energy team.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same — from coordinating travel and meetings in remote communities to managing budgets and working closely with Traditional Owners and internal teams. As the Logistics Officer, you'll be a key player in the Resources and Energy team, ensuring that community consultations and field-based activities run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with senior staff and regional logistics coordinators to ensure that all aspects of field operations—from accommodation and catering to equipment hire and documentation—are planned and executed to a high standard. You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and supporting communications across service areas.
What you will Bring:
You'll bring strong organisational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with confidence. Experience in logistics, high level administration, or project coordination is ideal, especially in remote or field-based settings. Your ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing circumstances will make you a valuable part of the team. This role involves regular travel to remote locations, so if you enjoy being on the move and thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment, this could be the perfect fit.
In addition to this, you will have:
- Advanced diploma in Project Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field or a minimum of 3 (three) years equivalent relevant experience.
- Sound written communication skills including submissions, business communication and reporting.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence and the ability and willingness to undertake remote travel in a manual 4WD vehicle or light aircraft.

What's in it for you?
At NLC, you'll be part of a team that values respect, flexibility, and purpose. This role offers the chance to travel, connect with communities, and contribute to meaningful work across the Northern Territory. You'll enjoy a supportive environment, opportunities for growth, and the satisfaction of knowing your work helps make things happen — on time, on budget, and on country.
NLC offers competitive remuneration, flexible working arrangements, and the chance to grow your career while contributing to something bigger than yourself.
We offer:
- A base salary of $84,985 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
- Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
- District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
- 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
- Paid Christmas close down;
- Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177
Interested applicants should send a copy of their CV along with a cover letter outlining why you are interested in this position and what relevant skills and experiences you will bring to the role.
