Role Description

This is a contract role for a Fixed Plant Fitter located on-site in Western Australia, Australia. The Fixed Plant Fitter will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing fixed plant equipment. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting machinery to ensure optimal performance, diagnosing equipment issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role involves working closely with other maintenance staff and operational teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fixed plant equipment
  • Knowledge and practical experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the mining industry is a plus
  • Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
