About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Cleanliness Expert to join our team at Le Meridien in Melbourne. As a part-time employee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional cleanliness and presentation of our hotel. Your responsibilities will include cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to the highest standards, ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

What you'll be doing

  1. Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, restocking amenities, and ensuring all surfaces are spotless
  2. Clean and sanitise public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms to uphold our high standards of cleanliness
  3. Assist with deep cleaning and organisation of back-of-house areas to support the smooth operation of the hotel
  4. Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues to ensure a well-functioning hotel environment
  5. Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and hygiene protocols
  6. Provide excellent customer service to guests and respond promptly to any requests or concerns

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, ideally within the hospitality industry
  2. Australian work rights are required for this position
  3. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  4. Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently and independently
  5. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-service oriented approach
  6. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  7. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
