Ambrose Construct Group is one of Australia's largest insurance repair specialists, with offices in every state.

We are looking for a dynamic state leader to lead our team of experienced Desktop supervisors who are responsible for managing claims across Queensland.

This role would suit a motivated person with strong people skills who has ideally spent most of their career working on the tools and on construction sites but are looking to move into a more office-based role.

This is a fast paced and dynamic role. We schedule and run repairs and coordinate specialist reports.

The successful applicant will undertake the management of a team of around 12+ desktop supervisors who are managing a mix of make safes, specialist reporting and supervising minor repairs from the office.

While you may use your knowledge and skill to undertake some desktop tendering, this is primarily a Supervision role. Triaging of repairs, assessing risks and coordinating responding trades.

The role:

  • You will work alongside an established team of experienced Team Leaders, managing the team ensuring the team are working harmoniously and keeping to company KPI's in order to meet our clients' expectations.
  • You will be responsible for assisting HR with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and training of new staff.
  • You will be undertaking regular one on ones with your team providing mentorship and guidance.
  • You will need a moderate level of IT experienceas you will need to utilise Outlook, Microsoft Excel, convert docs to PDFs and upload these to our system.
  • You will use our custom-built state of the art repair management system after role specific training that will take approximately 2-4 weeks depending on your previous experience.
  • Liaise with customers and trades over the phone regarding repairs therefore customer service is a large part of this role.
  • Review reports for insurers requiring a keen eye for detail and a willingness to speak to trades to ensure they have clearly communicated their observations and actions onsite in written and visual form (via photos).
  • Liaise with trades and coordinate repairs.
  • Review reports and pass them to our Submissions Team for uploading into our client's systems.
  • Use your technical knowledge to achieve better and more effective methods of repair.
  • Monthly bonuses on offer.

Highly regarded skills:

  • Strong people skills
  • CERT IV in building and construction
  • Insurance building knowledge not essential but highly desirable.
  • A carpentry or trade background is essential.
