Labourer

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Labourer to contribute to Council's success.

  • Work Life Balance working 9-day fortnight
  • Work outdoors in the Gladstone Region
  • Based in Miriam Vale

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to support Council's direction by efficiently undertaking construction and maintenance activities of civil infrastructure and undertaking a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement tasks within the Gladstone Region.

You will bring:

  • Labouring skills to carry out maintenance activities on a daily basis.
  • Experience and competency operating under a current Medium Rigid (MR) licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic keyboard skills and experience and competency using technical devices.
  • Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

Eligibility & Pre-employment Checks

To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.

This could include reference checks, pre-employment medicals (including drug and alcohol testing), vaccinations, visa checks, licence verifications and psychometric testing.
