We are currently seeking a Sales Consultant remotely based anywhere in Australia to join our Higher Education sales team at Cengage. In this role, you will contribute to sales and promote award-winning products to Vocational Education and Training (VET) accounts in your allocated territory. We predict growth in our VET business and are investing accordingly.

As a valuable member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in establishing and nurturing strong customer relationships, recognizing sales opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service. If you are a sales hunter who takes initiative and excels in communication and pipeline management, we want to hear from you

The position offers a generous on-target incentive plan. A company car or car allowance is also included.

What you'll do here:

  • Engage VET staff within your allocated territory, to promote and sell Cengage products and solutions
  • Identify and prospect new customers
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Present product information and benefits to customers
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Ensure CRM is updated regularly and appropriately with all interactions, territory records, and sales
  • Some travel required, but you will predominantly work from home

Skills you will need:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the educational sector
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Proactive and dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Proficient in using Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
