About ABCI

Australian Business & Culinary Institute (ABCI) is a privately owned and operated Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45461 | CRICOS 03742D) with campuses in Melbourne and Perth. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Painting & Decorating Trainer & Assessor to deliver Certificate III in Painting & Decorating at our Melbourne campus.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Certificate III in Painting & Decorating training
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering structured and engaging training sessions
  • Conducting assessments in accordance with CPC training package requirements
  • Providing support and guidance to students throughout their training
  • Participating in validation and continuous improvement processes
  • Maintaining accurate records and training documentation

Skills and Experience (Selection Criteria)

Applicants MUST demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering VET training in Painting & Decorating
  • A relevant Painting/Decorating qualification with current industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of competency units and training package requirements
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment – TAE40116 (or equivalent)
  • Experience validating assessment and learner resources
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse learner groups

Compliance Requirements

  • Current Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Evidence of industry currency
