We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant to join a leading waste management company. This is more than just a job; it's a chance to learn from the best and develop your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting and learning from our experienced team of welders, boilermakers, and mechanics.
  • Getting hands-on with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment (trucks, excavators, compactors).
  • Using hand and power tools to support various maintenance and fabrication tasks.
  • Ensuring the workshop remains a safe and tidy environment.
  • Running parts and supplies to keep projects moving forward.

What we're looking for:

  • A natural mechanical aptitude and a genuine desire to learn.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, but a keen interest in a trades career is essential.
  • The ability to follow instructions and be a great team player.
  • A commitment to safety in everything you do.
