We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our Southport-based clinic on a casual basis. Ideally, you will have availability 5 days a week and be able to work flexible hours. You will work closely with our specialist team, assisting in diagnostics, surgical planning, and providing exceptional care throughout the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual assessments, diagnostic testing (OCT, Pentacam, Visual Field, etc.)
• Conduct pre and post-operative evaluations
• Assist with minor in-clinic procedures
• Support surgical planning, lens calculations, and clinical documentation
• Help lead dry eye and refractive assessment clinics
• Provide outstanding patient support and assist with admin as required

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Passion for patient care and strong communication skills
• Experience with diagnostic equipment (desirable)
• Genie software experience (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Current Police Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
