About this role:

As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Geelong Neuro Centre, you'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Speech Pathologists, and Podiatrists. You'll provide therapy in our purpose-built clinic, clients' homes, and the community.

You'll work with a wide range of neurological conditions, including:

• Cerebral Palsy
• Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia
• Developmental Delay
• Muscular Dystrophy
• Down Syndrome
• Spina Bifida

We're proud of our client-centred, evidence-based, and progressive approach. Our OT services include, but are not limited to:

• Upper limb therapy: Splinting, casting, functional retraining, spasticity management, electrical stimulation, Saebo equipment, CIMT and bimanual UL therapy
• DMI Therapy (Dynamic Movement Intervention)
• Fine motor and handwriting skills development
• Play therapy including assessment and skill development
• Assistive technology and complex equipment prescription including
• Functional retraining
• Home and vehicle modifications
• Seating and positioning for children using our X-Sensor pressure mapping system. This includes strollers, wheelchairs, activity chairs, standing frames, sleep systems
• Access to assessments including the Dash, Sensory Profiles, ABAS, Schoodles Handwriting Assessment, Peabody and BOT.

• Deliver high quality, client centred occupational therapy services
• Complete assessments, intervention planning, therapy, reporting and education

CLINIC SPACE & RESOURCES

• We have a specific kids neurological therapy gym and individual treatment rooms. You'll be working with clients in a variety of settings including the centre, community and in the client homes.
• You get to work with exciting and innovative assessments and technologies including our world-class rehabilitation equipment.
• We have an open office team room separate from the clinic to allow you to complete your non-client face-to-face tasks in a productive and welcoming environment.

FLEXIBLE WORKING WEEK

• We offer flexibility to the structure of your week, we have a number of team members condensing their full-time hours into 9-day fortnights, or 4-day weeks.
