This role

We're looking for a Senior Performance Content Creative — a hands-on motion designer and editor who's built or scaled a high-volume, performance-led content engine inside a fast-growing brand or agency.

This isn't an organic content role. You'll be creating and optimising paid performance video at scale — testing hundreds of creative variations, using data to iterate quickly, and shaping how Employment Hero shows up across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels.

You'll set up the structure, systems, and creative processes to help us scale video production and performance creative. You'll collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, and growth marketers — turning insights and performance data into smart, high-performing content that converts.Your Key Focus Areas

  • Lead the performance video function — setting creative direction, production cadence, and standards for performance creative across channels.
  • Build a high-volume workflow — introducing processes, tools, and frameworks that enable rapid creative testing and iteration.
  • Champion experimentation with AI and automation tools to improve speed, scale, and creative diversity.
  • Collaborate with growth and paid media teams to interpret performance data and continuously evolve creative approaches.
  • Drive creative performance insights back into strategy, influencing how campaigns and assets are developed across the business.

You'll Be Doing Things Like

  • Creating and optimising short-form performance videos that drive measurable results — from click-throughs to conversions.
  • Editing and producing at speed using After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, and emerging AI tools (Runway, Pika, Sora, Veo3, ElevenLabs).
  • Sourcing and shaping UGC and customer footage to turn into paid assets that perform.
  • Collaborating with growth teams to read and respond to metrics, ensuring every creative has a feedback loop and an optimisation plan.
  • Testing new formats, hooks, and visual approaches to identify what scales.
  • Contributing to Hero Collective's wider creative projects when performance content overlaps with brand storytelling.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years experience in a senior, hands-on role producing performance video for paid media.
  • Proven track record inside a growth or performance marketing department, not just social or brand.
  • Deep understanding of platform algorithms, ad formats, and creative optimisation across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Experience working with performance data — using dashboards, A/B testing results, or creative metrics to guide decisions.
  • Comfortable setting up processes, templates, and feedback systems for scalable content creation.
  • Passionate about creative that performs — you know what makes a thumb stop, and what gets a click.
  • Fast, curious, and fluent in AI tools and modern production workflows.
  • Confident operating in a remote, async, high-output environment.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, video editing, or creative production.
  • Proficiency with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and CapCut.
  • Fluency in all things social-first, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with an understanding of what works on each platform.
  • Experience with building and scaling a high-volume performance content operation.
  • A hands-on, fast, and curious approach to testing new tools, especially AI tools like Runway, Veo3, Pika, Sora, and ElevenLabs.
  • A portfolio reel packed with punchy edits, smart storytelling, and a clear performance intent.
  • The ability to thrive in a remote-first, async environment.
  • A natural ability to capture original content with a phone, camera, or GoPro, with an eye for unique angles and fresh, creative ways to bring stories to life.
