Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.

Job Description
Join Nine as a News Reporter and be the face and voice of our coverage across television and digital platforms.
We have multiple roles available for a dynamic, highly-skilled reporter - preferably with metro newsroom and live reporting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be on the front lines, covering breaking news, major events, and the compelling stories that shape our nation. Your mission is to craft impactful, engaging content from immediate live reports to sophisticated video storytelling. Bring your journalistic expertise and creativity to our newsroom and help drive Nine's editorial vision forward.
Day to day you will:
- Proactively pitch innovative, timely story ideas by monitoring breaking news, social media trends, and local publications, and secure key interviews with relevant talent.
 - Produce creative, high-quality video reports and written content for both television and digital media platforms.
 - Execute clear, concise on-air presentations, including live crosses and voice-over reports, while efficiently gathering necessary news footage.
 - Script and edit reports to ensure maximum clarity, conciseness, and engagement for broadcast.
 - Work seamlessly with newsroom leaders and platform producers to ensure all content is fully integrated and consistent across all of Nine's channels.
 - Build and nurture strong relationships with community contacts and sources, while maintaining a professional and active social media presence in line with company policy.

Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in journalism, with a focus on television or digital news.
 - Strong storytelling and writing abilities, with a solid understanding of crafting content for both TV and online platforms.
 - Confidence in on-air presentation, with a strong ability to engage viewers.
 - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both within and outside the newsroom.
 - Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
 - Solid knowledge of news production, including scripting, editing, and live reporting.
 - A passion for storytelling and a desire to contribute to Nine's editorial goals.
