Role Overview

The Project Manager will lead delivery of four discrete pieces of work within the department's grant management system. This role requires a strong balance of technical project oversight and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the system vendor, internal business units, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver project plans for four system workstreams.
  • Act as the conduit between vendor and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify and secure resources required to deliver project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present updates to the steering committee and senior leadership.
  • Engage across the department.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting with strong commercial acumen.
  • Provide project leadership, ensuring risks are managed and outcomes are achieved within scope, time, and budget.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in ICT system enhancement or implementation projects (ideally grant management, CRM, or SaaS platforms).
  • Proven ability to liaise between vendors and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management across all organisational levels, including executives and non-technical users.
  • High level of financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and project resourcing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to influence, negotiate, and drive delivery.
  • Experience working in Queensland Government or a similar complex, regulated environment (highly regarded).
