Location: Chandala Processing Facility-Brand Highway Muchea (50mins North Perth CBD)

Contract Type: Permanent – Full time

Roster: Monday – Friday (9 day compressed fortnight option)

Hours: 9.5 hour days (42hr average week)

Located at the end of Tonkin Highway in Muchea, our site is easily accessible for residents of Chittering, Swan, Joondalup, and Wanneroo.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment at our Chandala Processing Plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the reliability and integrity of plant and equipment by identifying, reporting, and preventing mechanical failures.

Take a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and ensure high-quality workmanship when repairs are needed.

Complete all documentation accurately to ensure detailed and precise information is entered into Tronox's Maintenance Systems.

Foster a positive safety culture by identifying and reporting hazards.

Work collaboratively within a team environment and assist operators with equipment preparation and isolation when required.

Record process information and suggest opportunities for improvement.

About You:

You are a qualified Mechanical Fitter with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and high-quality workmanship. You take pride in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced process or industrial plant environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitting (essential)

Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (essential)

Minimum 3 years' experience - Post apprenticeship in a Mechanical Maintainer role within complex fixed plant environment (essential)

Experience working in processing plant or fixed plant mining industries (highly desirable)

Proven experience maintaining process plant equipment such as, Rotating Equipment, Static/Fixed Plant, Handling Equipment, Utility & Support Systems

Demonstrated ability in fault finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving on fixed plant equipment

A team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required

Strong decision-making skills and a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement

A genuine commitment to safety, hazard identification, and risk management

Current unrestricted Driver's Licence

Willingness to work shift rosters as required
