A great opportunity has become available for a Plant Operator (Dump truck & Flat Bed) to join the team at Dixon Rock and Block, part of Dixon Quarry Group in Maroota. 

About the role

In this role you will operate a Dump Truck and/or Flat Bed Truck to assist with getting the sandstone blocks from the quarry to our quarry stockyard as well as sand from the Quarry to the Quarry Stockyard.

You will be working as part of a team of skilled operators and in time you will be trained to work with other machinery as well.

What you will need to be considered:

  • Ability to learn and follow instructions and operating procedures
  • Valid NSW Drivers License
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake basic plant and equipment maintenance according to DQG standards
  • Available to work Mon-Sat from 6AM
  • Physically able to perform manual handling tasks within the quarry
  • Be a team player

Preferred but not essential

  • Experience in operating earthmoving machinery
  • Experience working in the Quarrying, Mining or Earthmoving industry
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake basic plant and equipment maintenance according to DQG standards

This position requires the preferred candidate to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical check.
