As a Controls Graduate, you'll work alongside an experienced team dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions.
Under the mentorship of a senior team member, you'll gain hands-on experience in detailed engineering projects. This includes practical skills in PLC programming, network switch configuration, SCADA system setup, electrical and control system testing, and on-site commissioning activities.
To further advance your career development, you'll rotate across various business units, gaining exposure to key industry professionals and areas such as business systems improvement, operational support, and project management.
As a graduate, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Provide hands-on technical support to site teams, gaining real-world experience through site visits and relief work.
- Learn from industry experts by inspecting and optimising plant operations to drive performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to impactful projects by assisting in implementation, commissioning, and system upgrades.
- Identify innovative solutions for operational improvements and maintenance strategies.
- Become part of a large, connected CIMIC Group graduate cohort with networking opportunities, professional development days, and exciting social events.
Who are you?
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Computer) is desirable.
- Proficiency in computer-based programming languages such as C, VB Scripting, and Python, with a willingness to learn others.
- The ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings and P&ID diagrams is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with industrial control systems programming and configuration is desirable.
- Troubleshooting skills with a logical and structured approach to fault-finding in complex systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, self-organisation, and the ability to work safely and effectively without supervision.
