Residential Plumber

Aboriginal Enterprises Australia (AEA) specialise in providing construction and maintenance services to the mining, commercial and residential sectors in remote areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We are currently seeking experienced Plumbers to join our Service and Projects team in Katherine, Northern Territory.

**These are residential roles with relocation support and incentives on offer.

About the Role

These roles are crucial to the execution and delivery of high-quality results for both servicing and project work, throughout the Katherine region, including remote communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plumbing installations, maintenance and repairs
• Domestic and commercial works
• Complete fault finding and repairs of plumbing systems and equipment
• Ensure all plumbing work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and procedures
• Review plans and building codes to determine work scope and details
• Administration associated with Safety and Plumbing works
• Working with and training apprentices

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrated experience within construction and maintenance works in the residential and commercial sectors
• Proactive safety focus and willingness to always adhere to safe work practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
• Basic computer literacy for daily job and time record submissions
• Adaptability and flexibility to work in remote, diverse environments
• Cross-cultural awareness
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug screen
• Full permanent Australian working rights

Essential Qualifications

• Cert III Plumbing and Drainage
• NT Plumbing Licence or ability to gain through mutual recognition
• White Card
• Valid Australian Driver's licence
• Confined Space Entry (within last 2 years)
• Working at Heights (within last 2 years)
• Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain one prior to employment)
