Planned Resources are seeking a skilled Senior Asset Engineer to join a local council's Asset Management & Systems team. This contracted role will see you contributing to the effective management, planning, and improvement of Council's diverse asset portfolio – delivering services that directly benefit the community.

About the Role

As Senior Asset Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise in asset management, lifecycle analysis, and service planning. You'll lead the development of asset portfolio plans, maintain accurate asset data, and deliver strategic improvements that shape the future of our city's infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining Council's asset information and GIS data in line with the Data Management Framework.
  • Leading asset data cleansing, register updates, and analysis to inform strategy and renewal planning.
  • Developing asset portfolio plans and service levels for communication with the community.
  • Driving delivery of the Asset Management Maturity Improvement Plan and contributing to the 10-Year Asset and Capital Works Programs.
  • Providing expert advice on asset management and compliance, including Road Management Act obligations.

About You

You're an experienced asset engineer with a strong background in data management, infrastructure planning, and community-focused service delivery.

You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field, with extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to analyse asset performance data and translate it into actionable strategy.
  • High-level problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
