The role

We are seeking an experienced Steel Frame Detailer to join our team at Advanced Steel Frames in Hendon, SA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality steel frame detailing services to support our growing construction projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication information for steel frame structures
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure steel frame designs are constructible and compliant with relevant standards
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to coordinate steel frame fabrication and installation
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during the detailing process
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for all steel frame projects
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior detailing staff, when necessary

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience as a steel frame detailer, preferably in the construction industry
  • Proficient in using Framecad software, or CAD or similar, to produce detailed shop drawings
  • Thorough understanding of steel frame construction methods, fabrication processes and relevant Australian Standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical challenges
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and attention to detail
