Refrigeration/ HVAC Technician

Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Perform preventive and responsive maintenance on air-conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical ventilation systems.
• Service and repair chillers, BMS, and chilled water systems.
• Maintain and repair everything from split systems to ducted and package systems, as well as ventilation systems.
• Service and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including display cabinets, cold/freezer rooms.
• Act as a representative of Downer in all interactions with internal and external contacts.
• Bring forward ideas and support innovation within the team.
• Contribute to condition assessments during your daily duties.

What You'll Bring

• Cert III - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Mandatory)
• Artic Licence
• Construction White Card (preferred)
• Australian Citizen - Mandatory
• Australian Baseline Clearance - Desirable
