About the role

Location - Yatala, QLD

Hours of work - Monday - Friday, every second Saturday, 38 Hours a week

Hourly rate - $34.48 an hour at a casual rate

You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining our store's presentation, and supporting the efficient operations of our warehouse.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if required).
  • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries for customers.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking of merchandise.
  • Support the warehouse team with tasks such as order picking and packing.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with product selection, order processing, and general inquiries.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, orders, and purchases in the store & over the phone.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Assisting with monthly stocktakes.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or sales role, preferably in the home improvement or building supplies industry.
  • Previous experience with inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience in working with hard and fast processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a well-organised and presentable store environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the business.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Basic computer literacy for sales transactions and inventory management.
  • Forklift license (preferred but not required – training can be provided).
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • HR license an advantage.
